Hello swimmers and coaches! We hope you are all enjoying the summer season! As we approach the end of the 2022-2023 season, there is some important reminders to share with you.
Summer Camp at Robert Burnaby: Join us for our summer camp held at Robert Burnaby from Monday to Friday, 4-6pm. We invite all our swimmers to participate, and there is no extra charge for this camp. The camp will provide a fantastic opportunity for everyone to enhance their skills and knowledge. Here's what you can expect:
Lecture Session (30 minutes): We will cover various topics such as stroke techniques, rules, hydration, nutrition and more. This session will help swimmers gain a deeper understanding of competitive swimming and prepare those in the swim school to potentially join the swim team.
Dryland Exercise (30 minutes): Engage in dryland exercises designed to improve strength, flexibility, and overall fitness.
Water Practice (60 minutes): Dive into the pool and apply the techniques learned in the lecture session.
Remember, this camp isn't just about improving your physical fitness; it's also an opportunity to spend quality time with your teammates and have fun in the summer sun!
Stay Hydrated: As the summer heat intensifies, it's crucial to stay properly hydrated during swimming and exercise sessions. We recommend drinking approximately 1 cup of water (8 ounces) every 15-20 minutes while engaging in physical activity. Staying hydrated will ensure you perform at your best and stay safe. See you at the pool!
