Please find a revised chart below, please disregard my previous email. I have highlighted in red where there are updates. I have attached the updated Guidelines for your review. This is what is required for City of Surrey aquatic facilities. Please continue to refer to and follow guidelines from your Provincial Sport Organization.


This will be effective November 1st, 2021.


 

Proof of Vaccination Required/Not Required

Procedure

Youth Aquatic Sport Group participants/athletes under 22 years

Proof of Vaccination is not required for under 22 years. 


Youth participant/athlete states at entry point/front desk that they are a Youth Aquatic Sport Group Athlete/Swim Club participant – under 22 years.

Youth Sport Coaches who are an employee of the sport group

Proof of Vaccination is not required


Youth Sport Coach (paid) states at entry point/front desk that they are a Youth Aquatic Sport Group Coach

Youth Sport – all adults 19+ years supporting youth programs and events (any adult volunteers)

Proof of vaccination is required


User group is responsible for verifying adults supporting youth programs and events (volunteers 19+years) vaccination status.

Adult Aquatic Sport Group participants/athletes

22+ years - including Masters

Proof of vaccination is required


User group is responsible for verifying swimmers’ vaccination status.  If mixed ages participate -all participants 12+ years must show proof of vaccination.

Adult Sport Coaches, referees, & volunteers associated with a specific role supporting the broader group

Proof of Vaccination is required


User group is responsible for verifying adult coaches, referees, and volunteer vaccination status.  

Spectators for all Aquatic Sport practices and events (practice, meets, tournaments, competitions, time trials, and games)


Proof of vaccination is required for 12+ years.


User group is responsible for verifying all spectators 12+ years vaccination status. Events and number of spectators require pre-approval.
